Inventory Multi-Location View
The Multi-Location View in the Inventory module allows users to view inventory quantities across multiple locations from one screen.
Purpose of Multi-Location View
Use Multi-Location View when you need to:
- Compare stock availability across multiple locations.
- View whether the same item is stocked at other locations.
- Identify low, out, or overstocked supplies across selected locations.
- Request supplies from another site.
- Send supplies to another site.
- Review inventory across multiple locations without switching the main selected location.
Accessing Multi-Location View
- Navigate to the Inventory module.
- At the top right of the Inventory page, locate the View toggle.
- Select Multi-Location.
The page changes from the standard single-location inventory table to the Multi-Location inventory view.
To return to the regular inventory page, select Single Location from the same toggle.
Location and Display Mode Control
In Multi-Location View, users can select which locations to display using the Locations & Display Mode control.
Selecting Locations
- Select Locations & Display Mode.
- A vertical multi-select list opens.
- Select one or more locations to compare with the current base location.
- Each selected location appears as its own quantity column in the inventory table.
The current location is shown as the base location and remains selected.
The selected locations dynamically update the inventory table. If a location is selected, a new quantity column appears for that location. If a location is unselected, that location’s column is removed.
Show Common Supplies Only
Use Show common supplies only to display only items that are available in every selected location.
In this mode:
- The table shows items that are common between the base location and all selected locations.
- Items that are not stocked or not configured in one or more selected locations are excluded.
- This helps users quickly identify supplies that are shared across all selected sites.
If an item is not available for a selected location, the quantity cell displays a dash and a tooltip. An orange tooltip indicates that the item is configured for that location but has never been checked in. The grey icon indicates that this item is flagged as not configured in this location.
