[Releases](https://help.labsymplified.com/releases?hsLang=en) # Lab Symplified Release Notes - Version 5.4.0 09/09/2026 ## Release Notes – Inventory, Audit Trail & Help Center Updates This release includes several enhancements across Inventory Management, Inventory Audit, file tracking, and the Lab Symplified Help Center. These updates improve transaction visibility, inventory traceability, audit readiness, and access to product support resources. ### Check Out Enhancements Several improvements have been made to the Check Out workflow to provide better visibility into recent transactions and make multi-lot item selection easier. #### Additional Check Out Details The Check Out page now provides additional information for each transaction, including: - - **By** – Displays the name of the user who performed the checkout. - **Expiration Date** – Displays the expiration date associated with the checked-out inventory. - **In Use Date** – Available during lot selection to help identify inventory that is already in use. These additions provide users with greater visibility into inventory activity directly within the Check Out workflow. #### Recently Checked Out Items Recent checkout activity is now retained on the Check Out page for **24 hours**. The most recent transactions are displayed by selecting "Show Recent Checkouts" option. This provides functionality similar to the existing recent Check In history and makes it easier to reference recent inventory activity. #### Improved Edit and Undo Controls Checkout transactions continue to have a limited window during which they may be edited or undone. With this update, only the **user who originally performed the checkout** can edit or undo that transaction during the available window. This prevents another user working in a concurrent session from unintentionally modifying another user's checkout activity. #### Improved Multi-Lot Item Selection Lot selection has been enhanced to help users identify the most appropriate inventory to check out. Available lots are now prioritized using the following logic: 1. 1. Lots with an **In Use Date** are displayed first. 2. If multiple lots are already in use, the lot with the **earliest In Use Date** is prioritized. 3. Lots with completed **QMS requirements** are prioritized next. 4. Remaining lots are prioritized based on the **earliest expiration date** and then the **earliest received date**. These updates apply when selecting multi-lot inventory from both the Inventory and Check Out workflows. The goal of this change is to provide a more intuitive lot-selection experience while helping users appropriately utilize inventory that is already open, qualified, or approaching expiration. ### Aliquots Now Available in Inventory Audits Inventory Audit functionality has been expanded to support **Aliquots**. Previously, aliquots could be created and viewed within Inventory Management but were not available when performing an Inventory Audit. With this release: - - Aliquots can now be included in Inventory Audits. - Users can reconcile aliquot inventory. - Aliquot inventory can be monitored more effectively as part of routine inventory audits. This provides greater visibility for laboratories that use aliquots as part of their workflows. ### Enhanced File Upload Audit Trail File tracking has been enhanced to provide greater visibility into file upload related activity. #### File Upload Information Users can now view additional information associated with uploaded files, including: - - When the file was uploaded. - Who uploaded the file. - An optional **Note** associated with the file. The Note field can be used to provide additional context, such as the purpose of the document, version information, or other relevant details. #### File Deletion Tracking When a file is deleted, the system now maintains audit information related to that activity, including: - - The file that was deleted. - The user who deleted the file. - The associated activity timestamp. These enhancements support improved traceability, accountability, and audit readiness for files maintained within Lab Symplified. ### Updated Lab Symplified Help Center The Lab Symplified User Guide has moved to our updated Help Center: [**help.labsymplified.com**](https://help.labsymplified.com/?hsLang=en) The updated Help Center provides an improved experience for accessing product documentation and requesting assistance. Enhancements include: - - Improved organization of user guide articles. - Easier navigation by product area. - Improved article viewing experience. - Centralized access to product documentation. - Ability to **submit support tickets directly through the Help Center**. Existing user guide content remains available within the new Help Center.
