Operation Mode, Multi-Shift Setup, and Ad Hoc Tasks Configuration

Set Operational Mode (5-day vs 7-day lab)

Navigation: Site Settings → Operational Mode

• Select 5-day lab if tasks should not populate on weekends.
• Select 7-day lab if tasks must populate every day for tasks that are configured as daily.

Multi-Shift Setup (if lab has multiple shifts)

Navigation: Site Settings → Manage Shifts → Add Shift

1. Add shift name, start time, end time, display order.
2. If overlap exists, acknowledge overlap warning and save.

Enable Ad Hoc Tasks (recommended for compliance)

Navigation: Site Settings → Ad Hoc Tasks

• Enable Allow Ad Hoc Tasks if staff may need to:
  • Perform tasks outside schedule (weekend/on-call)
  • Perform a scheduled task extra times on the same day
• Enable Require Ad Hoc Reason (recommended)
• Configure Ad Hoc Reason Presets (e.g., “On-call”, “Instrument downtime”, “Post-repair verification”, “Weekend patient testing”)
