Overview of Mobile Drive Tracking
Audience: Admin and Users participating in the Mobile Drive workflow
Overview
Lab Symplified Mobile Drive functionality helps you plan, pack, dispatch, receive, reconcile, return, and close mobile blood drives — while maintaining a complete audit trail of supplies and devices.
The workflow is split into two role-based experiences:
- Admins (Mobile Drive Admins): Set up the drive, manage devices/transport units, pack supplies/devices, handle returns, and close the drive.
- Users (Field Staff / Team Leads): Receive what was sent, reconcile what was used/returned, and document issues/notes.
Key Concepts
Drive statuses (what they mean)
- Draft: Drive created but not fully packed. Editable.
- Packed: Supplies/devices have been packed and the drive is ready to be received in the field.
- Received: Field staff confirmed what they received.
- Reconciled: Field staff completed end-of-drive reconciliation (used/leftover/return intent).
- Closed (History): Admin completed return actions and closed the drive. Drive moves from Active to History.
A drive remains in “Active Drives” tab until it is Closed. Closing the drive moves it into History and ensures your device availability and inventory picture stays accurate.
